The creation of the Sheela Basrur Centre marks efforts of many individuals and organizations to continue Dr. Basrur’s legacy of public health renewal and leadership in Ontario. The Agency for Health Protection and Promotion  is developing the programming for the Centre and providing a basic level of support. Outreach Program Launch and Fundraising Event – the Centre will launch an Outreach Program at a fundraising event at the Carlu in downtown Toronto on November 27, 2008.  You can buy tickets for the fundraising event through the University of Toronto tickets service. Please note that ticket costs are not tax deductible.  The Outreach Program will provide integrated training and learning opportunities that will connect participants with the broader health system and cutting-edge expertise.
